We opened this bottle to pair with Thanksgiving dinner. Similar to other notes, this is not a complex Riesling, but actually paired quite well with the varied dishes for our meal. On the nose, our bottle had Petrol and a bit of peach aroma. On the palate, this is very ripe and tasted more like an Auslese. Did not have the brightness of acidity I had hoped for, but the palate had a nice viscous texture with a creamy mouthfeel. The palate had a combination of melons and tropical fruits, with just a hint of cinnamon.

nice. a bit more acidity would have rounded it out, but very tasty.

2005-2011 German Spatleses (Rich & Peggy's House, Los Altos, CA): Nice ripe peach and spice nose. Sweet and complex in the mouth, with honeyed apple, spices and candied ginger. More residual sugar than the others but really yummy. (my 2nd, group's 3rd)

clover honey, apricot on the nose, thick sweetness that fades quickly, only 10.5%, very decent for the price, would buy again
