Decanted for an hour and poured back into the bottle; drank throughout the night. Straightforward fruit balanced with various barrel notes. Beyond that, I didn't experience much complexity. Might develop after a few years, but for me, not enough here to compel me to wait. Minimal tannins, which made this very approachable and drinkable without food. Nothing mind-blowing, but perfectly enjoyable and priced appropriately.

A most interesting nose of cocoanut and vanilla. Wow, for a Tempranillo. A nice fruit forward start, just enough to get your tastes interested. The Tannins are less than expected and the finish better than good (not long). Mid berry overtones makes this a very decent wine at $16 a bottle.

Drinks more as a crianza than a reserva. Doesn't make it bad - just sets different expectations. As a crianza - this is a fine temparnillo. It's got a great nose of cassis and a sweetish vanilla ice cream type aroma? the taste brings some bitter tannins to the front, followed by some bright sweet red fruits - no cheery here, more raspberry. The tannins made it a very good accompaniment to the prime rib. Good stuff for Christmas.

A bit unrefined and rough.
