Very smooth St. Emilion Wine! Very well balanced! Not sure of what I taste but it's on the dark side of fruity which I love! Would definitely buy it again! Great with tenderloin steak!

Very nice example of it's type. Has some deposit so would advise decanting. The Cherry-red colour is clean and dark. Aromas of small red and black fruits of the forest. After 5 years it is an easy-drinking wine with soft, silky, well-balanced tannins. It's a Grand Cru so the Chateau Villemaurine is listed in the 1996 Classification of Saint-Emilion, it has a Silver in France 2013 Medaille d'Argent in the Challenge International du Vin.
Did not go well with Smoked Chicken it just killed it, The wine came back to life when we started eating bread and cheese, hard boiled egg etc., fortunately I did try the wine before eating the Smoked Chicken so kept with it. The cheese was Brie and Comte.
