  • Probably on a slow descent. Some nice raspberry fruit and savoury notes, but the palate is firm without being especially interesting.

  • Dark fruit and leather on the nose. Rather forceful. Maybe more structure than fruit which is unusual in CNdP but impressive nonetheless.

  • Wonderful chateauneuf with plenty of fruit and character. Still young. Great legs. Nose is of concentrated fruit, earth, traces of gasoline fumes, almost port wine-like, very fruity and velvety. Medium mouthfeel and medium acidity, again with a lot of concentrated fruit. One of the more fruit-forward CdP's we've had recently. Complexity on the finish improved on day 2 and 3 (did not fall apart or overly oxidize). Still seems young in that sense. Probably could use a 2-3 hour decant. A very enjoyable wine that went well with filet mignon and then with a spaghetti bolognese. Tasty. Will repeat.
