  We bought this bottle at the second Tannin's wine tasting we attended at the Elmhurst Art Museum. We met the wine maker Jean Luc and spent some time with him as he took us through a tasting of his wines.

  Very nice CndP. This was decanted. Nice colour, with a lovely dark brick rim. Showing only a little maturity on the nose, mostly cherry and blackberry fruit with some garrigue and mint hints. Palate was medium bodied with good balance, soft tannins and nice acidity and more cherry, berry fruit. Best thing about this was the really excellent finish - the wine really lasted in your mouth. For mature CndP this was a great value at $25.

  An absolutely delightful wine on all counts. We spent a long time just on the nose. So many notes and layers! Changes beautifully as it breathes-- very noticeable and enjoyable hints of mint, lovely fruit, and something floral too. Most important to say that over four hours this fully opened and it would be a shame to judge it on the first taste after opening as it does not give much up at first. Interesting that the flavors are not as strong and concentrated as I have tasted in some Chateauneufs; probably just the vintage. Nevertheless, the gorgeous flavors and finish are as good as some of the best wines I have ever tasted. I think I may buy a case.
