Peter Lehman Masterclass (Bel & Brio, Barangaroo): Green apple, a little honey, butter and sweet spice. Lemon and green apple, tangy, crunchy but with butter and honey pursuing this on the palate. Long, kind of nice. I'd be interested to try this against some Hunters of the same vintage.

I agree with ProfByron. Despite the low alcohol this has a textural richness that is impressive, and, I suspect better than many similarly priced Hunter semillons. No rush to drink.

Limes and lanolin on the nose. This carries through to the taste where there is lovely mid palate richness. It's sharp (acid) but seductive, and intellectually interesting.
A bit mouth puckering on the finish, though this isn't noticeable when eating, and I'm not complaining it makes the taste linger.
I suspect that side by side this is rather different from Hunter semillon. And again different from white Bordeaux though it's inspired by both. If Peter Lehmann's aim was to get the wine cognoscenti to pay some attention and respect to Barossa semillon then yes, this is the wine to do it.
Serious wine for the price.
11.5% ABV, sealed with screwcap.

Pale yellow, with a nose of wax and lanolin, with a hint of sulphur and gun flint. Lifted and fresh, the palate is full with a clean honeyed finish. Good weight considering this is 11.5 alc. Definately worth seeking out.

Perfect green gold colour, enticing.
