Please make sure to pull the cork and wait a good 40 minutes after the first glass. This wine is still pretty tight although it is beginning to show teriary characteristics more in this case. Good intensity and an old pinot nose to it, but the palate recovers some fresh raspberry and strawberry on top of spice, oak, and forest floor.

Black cherries, raspberries, fresh parsley, fresh mushroom, wet stone. Medium body, medium tannin, good acid and overall very subtle and balanced. Great intensity of aromas. I would call this classic for Chambolle; maybe a tad on the powerful side.

Note: This wine was open and decanted two hours prior to drinking.
Medium body wine with silky tannins. This is a nice wine with elegance and chambolle-musigny grace. Yes, it does have the underripe green flavors reflective of the 2011 vintage but they are well integrated and not overpowering. Red cherry fruit with a bit of an acid spine on the finish. More classic in style than new world.
Overall an enjoyable wine but falling short of excellent. Drinking well now and unlikely to improve with further aging.
Note: After 4-5 hours of being open the wine started to become disjointed and less attractive so drink within 2-4 hours of poping to cork.
Score = 91

Smoke, maraschino cherry, stewed rasberry, medium tannins, cold vintage shoes, but ripeness is there. I think this is worth drinking now, might keep longer. Hard to tell, but I have 5 more to go, so I will explore over the next 4 years.

In a great spot. Thoroughly enjoyed this with Pam roasted salmon and French lentils.
