PnP - very thin at first with a bitterness noted at the sides of my tongue, but it soon opened up. Loretta has been disappointed with some of the older wines I’ve kept. Knowing how much I paid for them, she has not been impressed by the outcome on first sip, but both of us thoroughly enjoyed this bottle. This is how Burgundy should taste.
We had it with Lamb Kabab and Persian rice from a recipe in the New Food of Life. Lamb marinated in grated onions and lime juice for 8 hrs. and then grilled. Excellent.
I had given up hope on this bottle and it sat languishing for years in my cellar. Purchased on release at Kermit Lynch.

Dark ruby. Ripe berry on the nose, with hints of rose petal and wood smoke. Deep smoky berry fruit on the palate with a nice acid tannic bite at the back, floral afternotes and a long finish. A serious, deeply textured, richly scored wine. 50 + 17 + 16 + 8.

Waaaaay to young, wearing the 2011 vintage on its sleeve. All purple fruit and rather scratchy right now. Rigid, tarte and in need of some serious cellar time. Hold.

France 2013 - Côte d'Or; 4/20/2013-4/23/2013 (Beaune): Tasted at the Domaine. From half bottle. Pretty nose, floral, juicy red fruits, hint of wood, excellent acidity, fine tannins, medium weight, nice finish. Very good. 88+
