Clear in colour in stark contrast to an pox'ed 2010 CC Roumier side by side. The 2011 very fresh, lemon peel, mineral and tangy. Nice if not earthshattering (especially for the market price).

Massive on the nose. Huge amounts of oak. Hint of citrus. Had some oxidised notes for first 20 mins. These never fully disappeared but became a bit more Victoria plum. More precise and mineral on the nose. Lots of acidity on the mid palate. Opens up with time in the glass. Became much more sophisticated but remains big. Not entirely sure what I think of this. Stylistically a long way from Coche, Roulot, pycm, Ente etc.

I liked this wine, but would never have guessed it was a Grand Cru Burgundy. Nose was what tricked us all, honey and paraffin with almost no citrus. When tasted, this was crisp and lively, with white peach and lemon flavors. Very interesting.

During the La Paulee in Meursault so only brief impressions. Lemon with spices, good volume, medium complexity.
