  Deep gold. Nose of petrol, botrytis, fino sherry and caramel. Fat and sweet but this bottle lacks energy and just tastes old. Short finish

  Deep gold color. Faded, lighlty oxidized nose with some roasted nut and flower scents. Thick and rich in the mouth with orange marmalade, quince, nutmeg and nut flavors that are fresher than the nose suggests. Rich, oily finish is just slightly bitter. Not bad for 14 year old gewurz. This did nicely with roasted foie gras, lentils and endives and was a nice change from Sauternes.

  Displays a deep, golden yellow colour with distinct legs. Powerful nose of apricots, citrus, rose petals and a touch of botrytis. Oily, unctuous palate and a fine, rich finish. Showed better integration with an hour (or more) breathing time. Drinking perfectly well now, although I would expect it to hold up for a few years yet.
