  • Translucent ruby hue. Nose of red berry, strawberry blossom, black licorice, fecund hothouse flowers. Layers of sinuous malted red raspberry, rich earth, integrated oak, and trace iron on the palate. Brisk acidity and firm tannin. Longer finish of chiming red berry and sharp red earth. Lighter wine with requisite ethereal intensity. Niiiiice.

  • Popped and poured. Medium ruby color. Nose of red berry, violets, stone, iodine. Layers of pure red raspberry fruit and tea notes cut with bits of iron on the palate. Nice acidity and filed off tannin leading to a moderately long finish of red mulberry and mineral. Strong oak presence obscured the fruit for most of the evening but did blow off after several hours. If oak notes integrate, could be outstanding.

  • Took to a dinner with friends. Served a bit too cool. Light to medium bodied with clean bright fruit, some baking spices and just lovely mouth feel. Delicious.

  • The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are fast. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like red currant, strawberry jam, cherry, dust, forest floor and honeysuckle. It tastes like raspberry, strawberry jam, cherry, pomegranate, dust, forest floor, light toast and tea. The body is medium. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.

  • Brought to a BBQ. Opened 6 hours ahead of time seeing 60 minutes in a decanter. Prototypical WV pinot in my books. Gorgeous strawberry, cherry, baking spices along with a little tartness. Elegant, balanced, leaves me wanting more.
