1 hour decant. Deep inky purple color. Aromas of black fruit, spice, oak and minerals. Full bodied flavors of blackberries and cherries with herbs and earthy minerals. Tannins are velvety and moderate acid makes for a long finish. Drinking well!!!

Yow, this was really good. Improved over 2 days open. Dark purple and red fruits, dense and powerful, with a dose of graphite and gravel rolling through the driving finish. Tannins are still plentiful but ripe. For richer or bigger meat, or for cellaring longer (5-10 years easily). 92-94

Decanted this for a solid two hours and man, it sung. The nose is deep without being boisterous, exuding elegance. It offers strawberry, red and black plums, graphite, boysenberry, Sweetarts, bitter cocoa and scorched earth. It’s mouth filling on the plate but actually medium bodied in weight because of the acid and level of refinement in tannin. Flavors include raspberry, slightly tart blackberry, mountain strawberry, black pepper, pencil shavings, salmon berry, tobacco leaf and smoky lamb sausage. Nine years in bottle has turned this into an intriguingly complex with serious structure and depth. A truly impressivewine from the 2010 Washington vintage.
