A little tight and hot right out of the bottle. Decanted and let open up in the glasses as well, during appetizers. By the time entrees arrived this was vibrant with fruit and layers of development. Still bold, but only in a good way. Impressive

Sumptuous blackberry compote and spice on the nose and palate. A touch of leather. Slightly hot on the nose. Rich and deep, not showing its age, this has stuffing to spare. I'd probably hold for a couple more years.

(Soos Creek Red Wine Champoux Vineyard Horse Heaven Hills) Fruit from Champoux vineyard rarely makes it into wines at this tariff and this wine drinks like a considerably more expensive bottle. This is an aromatic wine full of floral notes, herbal notes, rose hips, and currant. The palate has soft fruit flavors and a firm structure. Draws out on the finish. Give two-plus years. 92% Cabernet Sauvignon and 8% Cabernet Franc. 14.1% alcohol.

Earth and green pepper on the palette. Excellent QPR.
