  Nose of sour cherry and a bit of sage and other spices. Fruit forward palate of red cherry, just a bit sour. Medium acidity, light tannins and low alcohol. No structure... no mid-palate, or finish. Just a very light textured easy drinking table wine. Paired fairly well with a smoked brisket dinner. Typical Italian table wine. Cleared the palate and didn't interfere with the food flavors overmuch. Barbera has so much more potential than this, but at $10/btl. you could do a lot worse. Drink up now. Don't know how this is worthy of a DOCG classification. Does DOCG have any real meaning today?

  Herbal, licrorice and sour cherry nose. Juicy sour cherry taste with bright acidity. Light body. There's no structure at all. Some tannin at finish. Good partner with food.
