Tasted blind -- and what a surprise it was! Nose a little funky, akin to a wet laundry mixed with berry pie. Smooth on entry, with a plush red/dark berry and plummy palate, and some obvious oak/vanillin undertones. But then a spicy, leathery finish with fine tannins. In hindsight, it tasted exactly like malbec on entry and tempranillo on the moderate length finish, in a new-world style. Solid 90, maybe 91 on day 2, as it's more expressive.

Very intense fruit and ample color, a fruit bomb for the US market. Other than the alcoholic heat (14.5%) this is a well executed wine. Acid is balanced, oak is integrated, and the slightly evolved intense flavors are quite attractive, but the heat lingers on. Other reviews praise its second day, I am going to give it a try.

Agreed with previous reviews. Although not a pop n pour. Let it breathe. That is where the magic is. Double decant and drank over a long dinner. Really opened up The treasure here is patience. Double yum and a quarter

very good P/Q Ratio, strong taste, spices, rosemary, thyme next to the dominant cherry. very fruity, also a bit earthy, dark red fruit.

Aromas of tomato. Roxie found pinot-like aromas. Good flavors of leather, cocoa, cherry, licquorice. Roxie didn't care for it as much.
