Time to taste one as the weather has taken a turn and gone chilly again. Dense dark black red. Cigar box aromas. Lush intense berry fruit starting to integrate with the solid tannic backbone. Halliday says it should last till 2050. Whilst I concur at an academic level, I doubt my stock will get that far.

Nose average, barnyardy. Palate insane of rich red fruits (plum, cranberry), mint, liquorice, eucalyptus, brisket and full on tannin. This is rich and brooding but young and vibrant. Drunk young. Hold at least 5 years. Stunning.
I left a bit in the bottle and tasted on day 2 and day 4. Day 2 was sweeter, day 4 was porty - but still held much of its structure. Hang on to this.
