Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • A really distinctive nose of chalk, smoke, gooseberry and something herbal. Despite of having quite clean, obvious aromas there is definitely some finesse to the nose. On the palate medium bodied with good but not cutting acidity. The flavor profile consists of honey dew and some floral and stony flavors. Some heat on the otherwise fine finish. I don't think this wine is fully in balance, and I'm not sure how much good bottle age is going to do. It's not that bad a Riesling, but considering the terroir it does not really deliver either. I'll take the Bründlmayer's version any day over this.
