Annual Jadot Dinner - this time with Thibault Gagey (Sepia - Chicago): Such a great Richebourg that it's hard to comprehend whcih grower/producer may have parted with this juice and provided to Jadot. One more reminder of how times have changed. I digress. Beautiful, classically Vosne aroma of black cherry laced with intense Asian spice and black tea. Excellent concentration with round, supple fruit that goes on and on. In the middle of a long peak drinking window.

Nice nose of red berries, forest notes and a hint of tomato. It opened up nicely after a few hours in the glass but was a bit behind the other wines tonight. Good acidity on the palate with notes of red berries, iron, and tart cherries. The palate was a bit thinner than the nose suggested. Good length.

Truly excellent showing, perfect bottle. Still so energetic, fresh and pure on red fruits & spices. Depth, multi layered complex and hedonistic. What a joy to taste this for Christmas.

Attractive nose, very inviting, open. DRC type nose in fact. Body slightly slim and acidity a little high - expressing the vintage. And a difficult food match perhaps. Well made wine.
