Tasted non blind at a wine dinner. Opened and served immediately.
Yellow color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of light notes of Ricola up front followed by petrol and mixed yellow fruits. Flavors of cherries, lemon and minerals. Medium acidity, medium body. Drink now.

We thought it had a "deliciousness" factor, but lacked enough acidity to be really great. Got a peachy-apricot component and a good mid palate tartness. I don't have enough exposure to aged Reislings to give it a score, but it was enjoyable.

I'm feeling like this wine is past it's prime. Beautiful color in the glass, AWESOME nose, then a huge letdown on the palate. No sweetness, none of the minerality or complexity you usually get out of an aged riesling. For the money it delivers but I was really expecting more. This got put up against a fairly high-end 05' auslese that totally destroyed this wine, and that is possibly why I am rating this so low. Still, for me this was a letdown.

Food and wine (Chicago): Wonderfully complex nose with that aged Riesling complexity which defies description, though I should not that this was decidedly not petrol-like. The palate has a very slight bit of sweetness remaining and a good balancing acidity, but it seems to lack some concentration which would make me hesitant to age it too much longer. That and it's just a good drink right now, great with cheese.
