A very nice version of sparkling shiraz, as usual for Majella. Deep in colour, with a nice nose of plums, cherries and brown sugar, and these are the flavours in the smooth, silky palate as well (B+).

Colour Medium to full red to brick-red colour. Nose good intensity with some complexity from maturity in a toasty, meaty and blackfruit and spice. palate It's soft and round in the mouth, with liberal but balanced sweetness, They add a dash of vintage port to he wine and it certainly gives extra dimension to the wine Overall I had this with the Hollicks Sparkling Merlot and the Balnaves Sparkling Cabernet and the Majella was far more complex and interesting wine
