Right bank blend. This is a very structured wine, not especially giving at first. A couple hours in the decanter helped open it up a little. Somewhat chewy tannins but not heavy or thick in texture. Very savory. Good acid. Tertiary aromatics starting to come in. On day two this was tired; time to drink up in the next couple years. Quite lovely, if not profound, and a nice find at recent auction. 14.4%, $29.

A great medium bodied red -- like a good right bank Bordeaux! A bit of age starting to show, but this will last for a while. We have one more 09 to try at a later date.

earthy aromas of black fruit, medium body, flavors of cassis, moderate finish, opened up over an hour into a delicious balanced wine with mild tannins and moderate acid

A tasty BDX blend with some range and complexity. Only detractor was some heat and could use a tad more acid. 14.5% Alc. Paid $33

Dark ruby red with aromas and flavors of red berries; tart, medium and clean dry finish.
