Deep Ruby with medium plus intensity, developing aromas of violet, raspberry, anise, cinnamon, nutmeg, and fruitcake. This is a full body port, with a very long finish with a pallet that matches the aromas.

Opened a half bottle of the Warre's 2011 as my Christmas port. Power, dripping black, blue and red fruit, developed serious length with some air. Not as opulent as Taylor Fladgate, but entirely correct young vintage port.

Very smooth, rich taste of cherry, fig. Someone earlier said a cross between fine wine and port - agree, not as heavy as expected. Will see how it changes over the next several days with some house guests.

Unsurprisingly, much better on night 2. From a half bottle. Plenty of dark and red berry fruit, plum, spices. Alcohol well integrated, rather sweet.
