Negoc wine, tannins completely resolved, medium acid, classic brunello Flavors, limited complexity. Tastes more like a 2007 brunello from a low structured producer. Drink up.

Medium to opaque ruby. Muted but attractive nose of sweet oak and bosky berries. On the palate, just a touch of tannin, just a lick of acidity. It's a long way from a butch, bold Brunello. Elegant is the word you'd use if you wanted to flatter it. But that would be over generous: there's not enough layers beneath the quiet surface to justify that. A good wine but not a great one. Almost overwhelmed by braised beef. Hmm...supposedly this is an excellent vintage, and I have enjoyed other vintages in the past. But no fireworks this time. Just 13%... Cork.
