Popped this open while baking and decorating a cake for New Years Eve. The community here thinks this is right at or just past its prime. Not sure I agree. The wine was bright, clear, and a brilliant gold in color. The nose revealed ripe peaches, fresh cut apples, white flowers, baking spice and wet stones. On the palate it was soft, supple, with quite a bit of acidity after all these years. The flavor profile was more fresh ripe peaches, apricot, subtle hints of green apple, and spice. Medium mouth feel, remaining brightness of the acidity, and a nice long finish give me hope that this wine will cellar a bit longer, perhaps another 2-3 years, and reveal some interesting traits with more age. I am going to hold on my last bottle to see what it does 3 years from now.

Tasted at the winery. Clear, pale lemon. Apple, kiwi, melon, honey blossom. Already quite developed. Acidity bright on entry but fading through the mid-palate. Medium body, medium finish. This could have used more acidity and body to support the heavily fruited profile. Decent for casual sipping; this is not likely to improve.

Flinty minerality in the nose. Flavors of melon and tropical fruit, with a crisp finish.

Great with Yogi's garlic chicken
Enough mineral to cut cream sauce
Very light sweetness for Riesling
