three whites from Mendocino: light yellow-gold and lightly viscous in the glass. quick petroleum whiffs on the nose disappear to give way to floral whiffs that are laced with the yellow stonefruit and tangerine aromas. medium-bodied and fresh and juicy in the mouth. flavours of golden apple, peach and pears parade thru the palate, well-delineated by the balancing acidity and accented by a ginger spice note that carries thru the finish.
somewhat on a "Kabinett trocken" style, very well-balanced if somewhat lacking in minerality and depth. it's still drinking very well with no signs of letting up… but also unlikely to further develop.
13% AbV; from Potter Valley in Mendocino; no info on vinification, but a bit of neutral oak seems to be present in the texture

The fruity nose is gone but there is a richness that prevails. Would have guessed it might be a chard with the oaky buttery nose and mouth feel. Absolutely rich and decadent. A surprisingly crisp finish. Had with grilled veggies and it was as perfect.

Crisp with decent minerality and acidity and a pleasant finish. Notes of apples, lemons, pears. Paired nicely with spaghetti alla carbonara. Last bottle.
