Every now and then you get a wine that is just smack dab at its peak. This was that wine. Young enough to have some remaining fruit and acid, but starting to pick up weight and texture. Bright yellow fruit, a hint of tropics, some matchstick. 2010 in burg just won't disappoint. Drink now or sell to me.
Warm yellow. On the nose, honey, sherried notes, cream, a hint of lime. On the palate, ringing core of fruit with vibrant acids, long finish. Magical, changing, beautiful with Kumamoto oysters. 50 + 17 + 17 + 9.

Light orange yellow. Complex ever-shifting nose of red oak (as per my daughter who lives in North Carolina ... I don't have a knowledge of this aroma ... I would call it eucalyptus oil), licorice, hint of rubber, spice, passion fruit. Rock solid core of Meyer lemon on the palate, with vibrant electric framing acids (my daughter says like sticking a battery in your mouth). Very long acid finish. This wine is as wonderful, mysterious and complex as the last time I tasted it. 50 + 19 + 17 + 9.

Lovely aroma of creamy lime curd, light on the tongue with rich citrus rind flavors on the upper palate and a zinger of a glowing acid finish lingering. Very dry and elegant.

The blagny seems better and more aromatic as compared to this. Nevertheless very clean finish notes of white flowers.
