Tuesday Night Double Blind $40+ (Alpharetta, GA): Dull ruby to rim; meanie greenies here, still good red fruit, taut and tannic, firm but it relents just enough, high toned almost candied red fruit, cedar; ok, hopefully time will resolve the green.

A bit of the dill pickle I get on the nose of many of the 2011s. Also has the typical structure and acidity of 2011, though this is more accessible than most.

Tannins remain firm. This is peaking or will soon peak. Another 5 years or so. Just beautiful now though.

Premier Cru Verticals--Roumier Morey St. Denis Bussière and Courcel Pommard Fremiers (Arlequin Wines, San Francisco): Very light red with a watery edge. Aggressive stemmy aromas. Weighty and sappy. Serious, deep black fruit. Austere, tannic finish. This reminds me of Corton. Pretty savage and rough going at the moment, but the material is impressive.
