5 hour decant which was required and by hour 7 it was even better. A wine that is a tad astringent to start but the fruit saved the day mid way through. Above average finish. This wine is just entering its prime drinking window and should drink well for a decade plus. Revisit 2024

On opening, this had a tannic bite still that made it rather unpleasant so I recorked it and came back four days later. On the nose, an interesting blend of forest fruits, leather, but also delicately perfumed aromas of old rose that increased over time. In the mouth, quite a savoury mix of cherry and blackberry, with some meaty undertones and hints of blood and leather, an interesting combination of power and elegance. The finish was still slightly tannic, with a metallic side which thankfully died off.
It still needs time, three to four years, but has a good future ahead.

Good, not great. At dinner with friends so not too many notes. Soft and rether non descript. While fruit was good and it was a balanced wine it was basically one dimensional. Again good wine at relatively good price point but I have had better 1er cru. This was more village level.

Wow. A lot of Power and length for a premier cru wine. Drinking perfectly but has a lot of life

Unfortunately this showed some bottle storage issues. Not quite cooked or corked but it was off. Seemed the underlying materiel was there but flawed.
