  Medium garnet
  Aromatics medium -. Purple flowers, dried red cherry, dust. No oak.
  Palate medium to full bodied. Acid medium. Tannins medium, fine on teeth. Alcohol medium. Red cherry, dry cherry. Chalk.
  Finish has medium length. Balanced.
  Overall, the fruit is still there, the structure seems generally medium and I would have hoped for a lot more aromatics and acid.
  Drink now.

  Robe violacé intense
  Nez de framboise cerise, canneberge, cacao, balsamique, sous-bous, vanille, boisé bien balancé
  Sec, frais, tanin ferme, texture ample, belle finale
  
  Rioja intéressant et typique. Boisé bien intégré et pas trop vanillé comme la plupart des Rioja commercial.

  Very dark shade of muddy ruby with high optical density. Pretty nose of tobacco, cranberry, raspberry, and earthy herbal spices with a hint of toffee and mocha. At the tail end, some balsamic and tart cherry pit soar above the bouquet. Bright, refreshing acidity on the palate, with medium body and a taut, firm texture (ripe tannins lend some structure, but are understated) that allows for an elegant, drinkable framework. Flavours of bright red berries, with cherry and cranberry in the attack. These remain firm at midpalate, where spicy, earthy, tobacco slides in. The finish is medium in length, but beautiful in character, with soft but tart fruits fading to leave a clean, coffee bean aroma lingering. Really elegant, flavourful wine, with a lithe mouthfeel and a focused intensity. Medium plus complexity, with plenty of interesting and complimentary aspects, this wine shows really nice balance, and is drinking extremely well, with plenty of life left. Well done, excellently made wine, providing tremendous enjoyment and value. Bravo!

  Drukket samtidig med 1995-årgangen. Mørk mursteinsrød farge, nesten svart i midten. Lukt av tørkede kirsebær og litt søtlig eik. Fyldig smak. Rund, saftig og kraftig. Sorte bær. Plomme. Litt tanniner. Lang ettersmak.

  Tipique espagnol trempanillo. Fut de chêne très présent. Je me suis rendu compte que je n'aime pas ce type de vin. Du moins jusqu'à présent.
