From magnum. Over dinner - no formal notes. Quite pale in colour with some discolouration around the rim. Aromatic and layered on the nose - red fruits, spices, slightly vegetal, fresh. On the palate bright acidity, well integrated and unobtrusive tannins, good fruit. Very long and elegant. Drink or keep. 92-94?

Pinot Noir and some Champagne (Restaurant Brunnenstube, Beinstein): From Magnum, perfect fill level. Clear, light ruby-garnet color. Clean, medium intense, juicy and elegant nose with some red fruit and spices. Certainly German, but elegant and fresh. On the palate medium+ acidity and medium+, fine tannin, both perfectly integrated. Ripe, juicy red fruit and the oak is well integrated, only giving a good structure and texture. Lots of pressure, long, fine and lingering finish. Stilly young with potential of further ageing. Much better than the Swiss Pinots we had this evening :) 92+

Popper and poured. Drank over 2 hrs. Beautiful wine. Elegant and classy with lots of finesse. A bit of weight and richness but well kept with acidity and structure. Definitely will hold for many more years and has the stuffing to develop even more complexity. Super delish and a great pairing for a wide range of food. If you see it, buy it.

Pale amber showing development. Barnyard-y Nuits St Georges like nose. On palate quite funky, hard to compare to any other region. Closest was an Oregon Pinot since it has a cool climate aspect but not as clean. Loads of character. An intellectual wine and not a crowd pleaser.
