  • Clear, medium intensity, lemon color.

This entry level Burg has aged well. The nose shows lemon curd, baked green apple, buttered nuts and some baking spice. The oak seems fully integrated.
Medium bodied with creamy mouthfeel and zesty acidity. Decent intensity to the flavors that mirrors the nose well. Shows good complexity and weight considered the modest appellation.
My last bottle and by far the best. This could probably go for another 2-3 years but I would say this is peaking now.

  • Coravin tasting. Perfect storage at the Wine Society. Comparing to a Kumeu River Village Chardonnay 2010. This seems much tighter and old world in comparison. The nose is fainter and has less of Meursault like qualities of the Kumeu. Definitely more sour. Creamy and rich on the palate (butter?) but short finish. This is very good but interesting to compare to the Kumeu. The new v old world is obvious and at Bourgogne level the new world wins.

  • Excellent value for money for any geography based on price paid back in 2013 (£89 ex duty for a case of 12).
Beautiful oak, nice fruit but showing some complexity that comes with a little age. À point right now.
A little dumb with sushi but great with soft fresh cheese and a truffled one too.

  • No formal notes taken, but full straw in color, fresh and vibrant. alanh's notes are most fitting here.

  • Flash note. A flash note is one that I distinctly remember the quality/overall rating of a wine but can’t give specifics because the tasting note was not written at time of tasting.

Basic serviceable Bourgogne blanc. Good zest and acidity. Weekday drinker perhaps. Recommended.
