From magnum. This is still very tightly coiled. It's a classic 2009 in its size but also has a great line of acidity giving if a wonderful uplift on the mid palate. This was bottled by Ponsot. Subsequent vintages carry the full Ponsot label and are priced 3x higher.....

La Paulée de San Francisco - Gala Dinner (The Fairmont - San Francisco CA): From jero. Small glass, brief note. Big, fat and lush. Almost blowzy, but then structure rears its magical head from the middle to finish. Very interesting potential here. Elevage by Ponsot from what Alvin was told to be Laguiche fruit.
