Coche-Dury Corton-Charlemagne Vertical Dinner (Le Bernardin, New York): Yellow gold. Ripe and fully mature nose. Partially botrytized and very thin on the palate compared to the other wines in the final flight spanning '93 - '89. Not obviously flawed, just underwhelming given the company.

Clean, yellow, gold, a touch of sulphur/reduction ie very coche, and minerals on the nose with lemon peel. In the mouth it coats everything in lemon peels and minerals, it gets better and better in the glass over dinner. One of the best white wines I have ever had

Oystery nse, acidic but on the palate this lacked freshness, came across as a bit flabby and carmelly. Perhaps a iffy bottle or just too old, not sure.

Coche Corton dinner. Gold, sedimented. Most honeyed of 10 vintages, but also white fruit with the most aromatic lift. Prefer to 90/91.

Incredibly fresh bottle of this wine with great acid, citrus and petrol notes and a tangy finish. A surprising precise wine given its age.
