  • Clear medium tawny red. Big earthy funk blends beautifully with sweet maraschino, tar and fresh leather. The complexity is immediately detectable on the nose, but shows its true character with the very first sip. Abrasive tannins carry the whole structure of expressed acidity and high alcohol across the finish line. Solid fruit comes in in the shape of raspberry and dried fig. Dense and wonderful structure which simply begs for a juicy beef steak and large doses of hedonism. I want this in a spray bottle.

  • A good wine, with typical barolo notes, including a lot of roses and licorice, perfect balance and so on. Yet, not really quite my wine. It just does not excite me enough. Maybe this will improve with time.

  • This opened beautifully over a short period of time. Amazing nose of star anise, cherries, and earth. The palate has excellent balance and length: cherries, tar, and truffle with light tannins and good acidity.

  • This wine is clear, of medium tawny colour with presence of legs. The nose is clean, in a developing stage and of medium intensity with aromas of ripe red cherries, ripe plums, anise, truffle, black pepper, cedar and hints of vanilla and blue flowers. It's dry in the mouth, with a medium+ refreshing acidity, medium+ fine grained tannins, medium well integrated alcohol, medium body and medium intensity flavours of ripe red cherries, anise, truffle, black pepper, cedar and hints of blue flowers. Medium+ finish. It's an outstanding quality wine with a clear typicity and a well developed and complex nose, showing an elegant palette of aromas. The structure is amazing with a really well balanced acidity and the right amount of concentration, preventing it from being a heavy bold wine, instead it's very food friendly with a lasting delicate finish. It can be drunk just now, but it should develop last for at least 8-10 years, being at it's peak probably in the next 4-6.
