Monthly Tasting Group HWS #092; Bordeaux vs USA (By SB): Rustic bouquet with dark fruits, smoke, leather and bell pepper. On the palate a bit special (in a Bdx/USA line-up), earth, mushrooms, tobacco, firm acidity and tannin with still some bite. Good length, but overall the wine doesn’t belong to the really great wines. Completely ready now.

Weekly tasting group #075; A fully blind test. (@ RvD): Dark carmine red. In the bouquet ripe and sweet blackberries. On the palate good oak and fruit juice. Tobacco, sweet spices and tannin with still a good bite. The bouquet suggests it is a new world wine, but on the palate it could almost be old world. Really good wine. Ready now but no hurry.
