A private dinner (Restaurant Rosin **, Dorsten, Germany): Very aromatic nose, oak spice, red berries, spicy slate, sous-bois, good depth; the palate is fresh and elegant on the one hand, but quite sweet, lactic and caramelly on the other, light oak tannins provide nice grip, rounded and ripe, some tension but lacks precision and definition; good aromatic persistence on the finish, good length.

2/26/2015 - henrygjeffreys Likes this wine:
deep red colour
rich nose - sweet fruit, dark cherries and spice
full, some tannin
a little caramel like a NZ PN, no jam at all
Very ripe style
long
