Really interesting wine that is hard to pin down. I found myself comparing it most closely to a dry style vouvray. Nice tropical fruits with added ginger. It was absolutely sensational with lobster. Too much oak to drink on its own, however.

interesting wine - nice nose, it is weighty without being over-bearing, high acidity. Very good with fish, pasta, salad. Best right out of the bottle. There is some oak influence that is not an issue when the wine is cold, but it is more noticeable as it warms. Good, but perhaps could be better with less wood.

Moderate aromatics of white flowers, stone fruit, touch of vanilla oak, even some oxidative nuttiness. Juicy yellow peach on the palate, with tropical fruit like mango and passionfruit. Rich and smooth mouthfeel with a subtle sweetness that persists without being cloying. Overall, a commendable wine with plenty of character.

Did not enjoy this as much as the first bottle. Noticed the oak more, and the honeyed quality did not seem as well-balanced by acidity. Still enjoyed it though.
