Lovely nose of black cherry, poblano , licorice. The Poblano and licorice show up in the flavors with some rich cherry and blueberry. Tannins and acidity still very balanced and finish sooo smooth. Hope i have another one to drink. Its ready!!

I’ve been sitting on this obscure bottling for many years wondering when to crack it open. The moment came tonight with a gnocchi with bleu cheese sauce. Pleasantly surprised. Varietal typicity abounds. A dead wringer. And at 9 years old it strikes me as being in a perfect drinking window now. Wouldn’t hold these much longer. Medium body with good balance and structure. Still some cherry fruit shining through. I’d have tagged this as Spanish rioja which may or may not please the winwmaker

remarkable varietal integrity. Dead ringer for a rioja. And a good one. But not a $35 one. Has enticing temp nose, medium body, hint of sweetness on the palate and pleasing richness with food.

(Kerloo Cellars Tempranillo Columbia Valley) An aromatically appealing wine with complex notes of pipe tobacco, cherry, grapefruit, espresso, pencil lead, vanilla, and plum. The supple feel ramps up in intensity, building to a crescendo of fruit and spice flavors with barrel accents backed by firm but beautifully integrated tannins. Best the winery has made to date. 54% Les Collines Block 6, 46% Stone Tree Block 17. 13.6% alcohol. 253 cases produced. Sample provided by winery.

Enjoyed with spanish tapas. This one has plenty of aging life left.
