Powerful nose of berries, herbs, forest floor and some oak. Dark palate of meats, grilled herbs and black berries, with smooth texture and some juiciness. Ripe tannin is fully integrated. This is a fairly big pinot with some complexity and great focus and balance. Excellent, with time yet.

Thoroughly enjoyed with friends @ Boon in Guerneville (tasty food!), this was a perfect foil to the 2012 Dom Leflaive Rully paired with our meal. Still has upside from here. Superbly balanced.

Bright ruby red color. Expressive nose of blackberry, cherry, red licorice. Palate showing crushed strawberry, dark cherry, cherry cola, anise. Nice minerality on mid/back palate, seems to be a signature for this vintner to nicely coax the minerality out of the wine. Tannins modest and sweetened.
Really nice wine, should age nicely and drink at this level for several more years...score may be higher in time
