Tasting this again a little over 4 years later. It's remarkable to see how much it has evolved. It's no longer primarily floral. Instead, the roasty stuff has really come forward. Coffee bean, cocoa, mocha, baking spice. There's still fruit and it's in the raspberry cherry spectrum but the mocha and the spice is really the main focus here.
In fact the longer the wine sits in the decanter the more that spice refines and comes forward. It's layered, complex, and profound with an incredible some texture.

Very nice nose that lets you know you have a very nice glass in front of you . Very deep, bold flavor. Dives big in midpalate with a very deep, dark fruit flavor. Really nice. Finish is somewhat clipped with a spice element that is somewhat hot. Big je ne sais quoi factor with hints of earth. Really liked this, unique experience.

Opened, decanted, and tasted On its own and then with food (Vietnames rast chcike, in case you were wondering). Retasted the following day. Dark purple color. Nose offers wet forest floor. Earthy and a bit funky with hint of manure. Dark and brooding with black fruits framd bye earthy wet moss. The earthy component places the wine a bit ouff balance. Good but far from great.

A lot going on in this wine. Funky forest floor with spiced mixed berries on the nose. Dense flavors of stewed and fresh spiced dark cherries. Background notes of cured meat with earthy wood. This will unpack to reveal more on the palate in a few years but is great fun now.
