Smoked tobacco, ripe black cherries, pine, and mint menthol on the nose. Flavors of blood orange, strawberry and red raspberry predominately. Abrupt and ripe. Not my favorite from Trimbach.

1855 Pinot Noir Tasting (1855): Appearance is clear, pale intensity, purplish-ruby colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium- intensity, with aromas of green stems, and some light red fruit. Youthful. On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium- alcohol, low tannins, light body. Medium- flavor intensity, with flavours of green stems, simple light red cherries, and pretty much nothing else. Short finish. Overall, this feels under-ripe and dilute. Drink now, don't even bother keeping this. Stick to drinking the Trimbach whites.

Unremarkable. Very low tannin, little flavor. Tastes like bad medicine
