Merry Christmas to me. Every now and then a wine surprises you. This one did just that. It sort of got overlooked in rotation and my New Year’s resolution is to keep better track of my wine. This is one of those chards that’s not getting older, it’s getting better. It probably has another 5 years or so. The color is a crystal clear medium gold. Not a hint of oxidation at all. The acid is still bright with lemon in the lead. The nose is lemon, golden apple gooseberry with a bit of vanilla and almond. Medium long finish. What a pleasant way to end the holiday weekend !

Dalluge's btl tonight on the patio at St Gens Minneapolis and a very nice domestic chardonnay. Maturing yellow gold color. Very fresh but also fairly docile and round at this stage. Tasty citrus and stone fruit notes combined with a decent sense of minerality. This imp[roved significantly with 30-45 minutes open. Thanks Dave!

Absolutely singing. Wish I had more. Bright acidity, lemon curd, just delicious.

This tastes 18 months old. Laser sharpness. Citrus and mango. Beautiful.
