  Last opened five years ago and still delicious Lots of rich black fruits, blackberries and black cherries in the nose. Blackberries, plums and hints of chocolate in the flavor. Full bodied, complex, well balanced and a long finish. 95-96

  Started to write up a tasting note when I realised I had done so a year or so ago. It was dead on then so I'm pasting it here, even if it is a bit over the top:
  Silky smooth, velvety soft, alluring and seductive. This wine is one voluptuous seductress and so, so satisfying. Gorgeous nose that just simply wafts from the glass and knocks your frigging socks off. Black and red fruits, tar, smoke, pepper, olive tapenade, you name it, this wine has it. In freakin' spades! But with all that, it is just SOOOO SMOOTH. Wow. Dynamite stuff that still has 5-10 of life left.
  I'd say, if anything, it has become even more alluring. Absolutely gorgeous.

  Per my other note, tasted this alongside the 09 via Coravin. then drank a week later. I mean - I can't put it back after I do that.
  V - Clear, deep garnet with significant meniscus and high viscosity.
  N - Olive is number 1. By far. Also has plum, forest floor and smoked meats, along with cocoa and tar after the tasting begins.
  P - Actually fruit first, plum, then fig, then olive. Nice layers of flavor which all wraps up nicely. Definitely some serious funk.
  Great wine.
  I would drink now - given my experience with the 09, I don't know that this will improve.

  Balanced and long finish. Smooth tannins, cigar, leather, dark bloms and cherries. Complexity in the great way
