The 2010 label appears to have dropped the Appellation Series designation but retains the Paso Robles AVA clearly on the label.
Medium purple in color, this wine revealed classic zinfandel notes of jammy fruit, rhubarb and raspberry. The mouth feel brought muted notes of more rhubarb, pepper and spices. It also brought an unexpected and unwanted thinness. The finish brought the fruit, tannins and acidity together in a somewhat disjointed fashion, where they remained separate, never fully integrated.
At $13US, it was tolerable, but not one I'll search for again.
