  Wine opened up beautifully.Decanted for 90 minutes and this wine really opened up. I was pleasantly surprised because I am not a big Chianti wine drinker. This wine was ruby red with medium legs, good bouquet, medium tannins and a medium finish. I would purchase this wine again.

  Really quite nice! Dark, bright red color; fragrant for a Chianti, with leather, smoke and dark fruit prominent. On the palate, this is quite fruit forward, but the supporting tannins and acidity balance out the fruit nicely. Clean finish with a touch of heat. Lacks the earthiness I enjoy in a top Chianti, and leans towards the light side, but still comes across as a well-made, enjoyable wine. This strikes me as still a very young wine that will improve in the bottle over the next couple of years. Too good for pizza, this wine should be paired with more serious fare.

  When first opened, this wine had such harsh tannins that they almost completely overwhelmed the fruit. There were strong tobacco notes an some leather. However, twenty four hours later the tannins had smoothed our and the flavors were strong with black cherry and black current. The tobacco and leather lingered, but in the background. This should be an increasingly excellent wine as it ages.

  This wine, as young as it is, obviously needs several more years of ageing to be at it's best. The tannins are very strong at the moment and, until it is decanted and open for a long while, overpowers the other aspects of the wine. However after I decanted the wine in a preserving carafe, it was very good. Rich flavors of black cherry, black current, a hint of leather were there. This will be and excellent wine when it matures.

  Wine was ruby red, with medium legs; spicy and black pepper taste. juicy texture, medium body and a medium finish. Nice, spicy after taste. Would purchase again.
