Really enjoyed this last week even if I don't remember it in vivid detail. It was pretty steely, with grapefruit acidity, a green herbal note, and a clean stoniness. Perfect with a pesto-based pasta. It's not Chablis but scratches some of the same itch.

Floral and grapefruit and lemon nose. Very austere palate with touches of lemon, aromatically floral, but dominated by mineral with a steely and salt character. A bit simple, but structured. Very clean and a great buy at $20. Medium plus bodied, medium acid. Medium finish. Really built for the table, esp seafood or a light herbal pasta.

Medium yellow. Lovely nose, full of melon, citrus and perfume. Beautiful texture too, like a Chenin Blanc. Ripe but restrained fruit, aromatic in the mouth, good clay soil finish. Very nice and full of early pleasure.

Reminiscent of a sauvignon blanc without the full throttle fruit. Minerally and steely acidity, a great food wine and was a perfect pairing with scallops. A little rich at $22, if this were $15 I'd load up.

A private lunch (Ristorante Cotogna, San Francisco, California, USA): Wonderfully fresh and bright, nice touch of salinity on the nose, crisp acidity, light and lively, mineral, citrus, attractive bitters, dry and crisp finish.
