  • Absolute mouthwash -- this is the third bottle I've had and each previous time it was so bad that I'd thought that it must have been flawed (despite having a screw-cap) -- but third time's (not) the charm and I am forced to conclude that this is just a truly horrible wine. The only thing a big fire would be good for would be to incinerate any remaining stock.

  • Wow Big Fire is a big dud. The bottle we tried wasn't drinkable and may have been flawed. Had some big Pinot aromas but upon tasting it was acidic, unxious and gnarly and had a flat, overbearing flavor. Not vinegar but just a bad Pinot. There was now life or verve to this wine whatsoever. Would be interested in trying another bottle just to be sure that the one we had wasn't truly flawed. Yet, we've had other wines that have been flawed and Big Fire showed none of those characteristics. Either way - it was a bad bottle and a horribly bad wine. With so many great Oregon Pinot's on the market there really is no reason to try this one again.

  • Bad bottle, I guess. Such aggressive acidity that it seemed to have fermented in the bottle.

  • The nose was fruity. It had a silky texture in my mouth. Well balanced, nice long finish (no tanins). Overall a delicious Pinot. Sadly, this was bottle 11 of a case, with only one left to enjoy.

  • Fruity nose. this tasting we ate with acidic food and I noticed much more alcohol, especially in the front, and a slightly buttery finish. Warm and balanced and more charm on the second tasting.
