Several bottles consumed at the (now sadly closed) HKK restaurant. Wonderful, soaring balance of fruit, oak and minerality. Good stature without sacrificing drinkability - superb stuff, and absolutely ready despite its youth.

I had landed a couple of pallets from Burgundy the night before and wanted to test out my bottle shock theory and cracked a 2012 Thomas Morey Chassagne-Montrachet ‘Embrazees’ 1er Cru. Boy was this bottle shocked to have been opened so soon after landing. It was generous and open knit with pristine orchard fruit aromas and flavours and excellent underlying minerality. The finish was punctuated by a big puff of chalk.

Very nice Chassagne but shows already quite a lot of evolution. Drink soon !

Stunning. Drinking perfectly, and exactly what you look for in a Chassagne-Montrachet.

Very nice, full bodied wine which showed even coming from a warm vintage terroir and soul. Nice salty finish and the right amount of oak.
