Terroir al Limit @ Brix (Brix Financial District): color dark garnet. despite this being 100% carignane, blind I would have guessed Grenache. Swishing shows terse acid and more prominent tannin structure but the finish is lengthy. sipping smooths things out a bit, showing clean red fruits and polish, but the tannins (skin/stem) assert themselves on the finish. when I came back around to this after the bigger bottlings this seemed a little thinner, but this is wonderful wine

Red fruited with a touch of camphor and tar to the aroma and flavour profile. Has some savoury, meaty traits and balance is excellent. Some chewy tannins boot in towards the end.

Lovely interesting wine. Sort of a Northern Rhone take on Priorat. Modest alcohol. Not supercharged. Savoury, open knit.
13.5%, cork.

Good, but not great, given the price.

Very elegant and well balanced. The acid is a tiny bit to prominent buy gives a long finish.
