The people that say that Leroy is too stylistic and overbearing, should really appreciate what incredible things she can accomplish with vineyards at this level in vintages like 2011. This wine is amazing from start to finish. Incredibly expressive on the nose, amazing depth, and detail. I just love this.

Leroy #7 accessible, great sense of terroir, typical nuits st Georges, dry roses, cherries, raspberry, herbs, hints of chocolate, leather, nice bitterness in finish, woody, hints of smoke on the nose. Amazing wine!

Tasted blind with Pacalet. The nose was very green. I initially guessed it was an 04. However, the palate had no hints of greenness. The finish of the wine was a bit edgy. I doubt that it will improve significantly with time. On the positive side, the wine was integrated, but the finish was on the bitter side. At mkt price, this wine is definitely overvalued. It won't turn out to be much better than the '04 as it had turned green in such a short amount of time.
